Just Months After Launch to Build an AI Autopilot for Automating Operational Workflows Across Industry and Commerce

  • GeneralMind is building an autonomous „AI System of Action” that takes over the repetitive white-collar work and unstructured email back-and-fourth along the supply-chain
  • Leading European VCs such as Lakestar, Leo Capital, Lucid Capital, Heliad, BOOOM and well-known industry operators including Alexander Kudlich, Jens Urbaniak, Samir Sood and Vishal Lugani are backing the Berlin-based company
  • NASDAQ-, MDAX-, and SDAX-listed companies are already using GeneralMind’s technology

Berlin / Bangalore, 20.01.2026 – GeneralMind, an „AI System of Action” designed to automate the repetitive (often secretarial) white collar work and unstructured email-coordination that still define most supply-chain operations today, announces the closing of a $12 million equity financing. The round is among the largest publicly disclosed European pre-seed rounds in recent years and was completed less than <6 months after the company began operating. GeneralMind will use the new capital to accelerate the scaling of its technology across Europe.

The round was led by Lakestar, Leo Capital, Lucid Capital, Heliad, and BOOOM, alongside angel investors including Alexander Kudlich, Jens Urbaniak, Samir Sood and Vishal Lugani. The founding team previously built Razor Group and added further technical firepower through key additions: Tushar Ahluwalia (CEO), Shrestha Chowdhury (CPO), Dr. Oliver Dlugosch (CCO), Lennart von Hardenberg (CTO Platform), Nishrit Shrivastava (CTO Deployments), and Sergiu Șoima (SVP Engineering). In addition to its headquarters in Berlin, the company operates a second site in Bangalore.

General Mind: The AI System of Action

Enterprises today run on legacy Systems of Records (SoRs) like ERPs. On top of those systems sits a human-as-glue-layer, teams living in inboxes and spreadsheets, stitching together handovers and exceptions to keep supply chains moving. GeneralMind is building the AI System of Action (SoAs) to take over that very layer.

Traditional ERP systems or legacy Systems of Records capture transactions and records reliably, but they typically do not handle the operational execution of tasks or the (often unstructured) coordination between procurement, logistics, finance, and external stakeholders. In many companies, email effectively functions as a ticketing system for recurring knowledge work and usually comes along with manual handoffs, limited traceability, and high error rates.

AI Autopilot for Operational Work with Human-Level Capability

GeneralMind’s AI Autopilot takes over repetitive (often secretarial) white collar work along supply-chain handover points by autonomously executing repetitive workflows between email, Excel, and ERP systems. Incoming tasks (often arriving via email) are captured, analyzed, and then executed end-to-end. This is particularly valuable wherever large volumes of small tasks must be completed reliably, handovers and alignments must be tracked cleanly, deadlines and compliance windows must be met, and many internal and external stakeholders need to be coordinated throughout the process, for example in sales operations, procurement or invoice processing.

This kind of fragmented, inbox-driven work can cost global companies billions in lost revenue across their supply chains. Goods sit idle, decisions stall, and tasks disappear in day-to-day operations.

„Companies often know exactly where things break down but struggle to turn that insight into operational execution,” said Tushar Ahluwalia, Founder and CEO of GeneralMind. „In e-commerce, I repeatedly saw how email-and-excel workarounds, inefficient manual processes, and painful stakeholder coordination between unstructured email communication and ERP systems create massive inefficiencies in large organizations. That’s exactly what we’re solving for with GeneralMind. Our AI runs these processes end-to-end; this isn’t a copilot, but an autopilot: human-supervised, and approved when needed”, he added.
